Valencia EHS/Head Start

Valencia County Head Start serves 162 (3–5-year-old) and Early Head Start serves 24 (1–3-year-old) children and families throughout Belen, Los Lunas and surrounding areas. We provide services at 6 different locations. Adelino (main office), Belen (3), & Los Lunas Community Centers (2).  We offer a curriculum that focuses on school readiness goals, which will get your child ready for kindergarten. Our program also encourages community and family involvement through various activities and events held during the school year. All classrooms provide nutritious meals and snacks served daily, along with monthly nutrition activities to teach our children healthy eating habits. In addition, our Program provides services to families, and meets the needs of special populations, including but not limited to children with disabilities. Head Start applications accepted throughout the school year.
